Welcome back to Wisdom Wednesday! I don’t know about you, but I love getting the chance to get to know other authors and to get a mid-week boost with writing tips. Today, we have author, Liana George.
Name: Liana George
Genre: Contemporary Christian Women’s Fiction
Publisher: Scrivenings Press
Latest Novel: Perfectly Arranged (The Hopeful Hearts Series, Book 1)
Don’t wait for perfect conditions to occur before you sit down to write! Whether it’s waiting for inspiration, an organized/clean house, a certain level of education, or the kids to be grown and out of the house before you start writing, if you wait for those “perfect conditions”, you could be waiting a long time. Look for ways to work in spite of those things. Otherwise, you’ll never get any writing done! (Ecclesiastes 11:4)
Writing Tip for New Writers:
Learn as much as you can! Whether it’s hiring a writing coach to guide you on the process, attending writing conferences, or reading lots of craft books, constantly look for ways to strengthen your writing muscle! It will serve you well.
Can Nicki risk letting go of her well-ordered life plans and embrace what God has perfectly arranged?
Short on clients and money, professional organizer Nicki Mayfield is hanging up her label maker. That is until the eccentric socialite Katherine O’Connor offers Nicki one last job.
Working together, the pair discovers an unusual business card among Ms. O’Connor’s family belongings that leads them on a journey to China. There, the women embark on an adventure of faith and self-discovery as they uncover secrets, truths, and ultimately, God’s perfectly arranged plans.
As a multipotentialite, Liana Georges has many interests and creative pursuits. She claims that’s why it took her so long into adulthood to become a fiction author and get her first book, Perfectly Arranged, published. Yet if it weren’t for the diverse adventures she’s experienced on the journey – from being an ex-pat in China and Germany to restoring order in people’s homes and lives – she knows she wouldn’t have any stories to tell.
Married to her college sweetheart, Clint, she has two adult daughters and lives on a small farm on the outskirts of Houston. When she’s not scribbling away she enjoys watching tennis, reading from her large TBR pile, or planning her next vacation.
