The one who feels the weight of your family on your shoulders. The one who is strong for everyone else. You’re the one that receives the late night texts, phone calls, the endless conversations with loved ones shared over bowls of cheese dip.
Have you had a moment to breathe lately? I mean, really stop and take a moment for yourself?
I can see you running everything in your life with courage, strength, and the passion for succeeding. In every aspect of your busy, crazy, beautiful life you are strong for others. You press through and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Don’t get me wrong, there are times when you feel anything but strong. There are times when you want to curl up in bed and binge-watch your favorite TV show. There are times when you want to turn your phone off and get away for a little while. There are times when you need to cry, vent, and scream. But you pick yourself back up and go again.
You give excellence to everything and everyone.
You’re so busy taking care of everyone else.
I see you. The strong one. But you don’t feel strong at all. You’re tired, anxious, and stressed. Your mind is in a constant whirl of worry about everything that you have to do.
I hope you decide to Be Still today. To take whatever time out you need to renew your spirit. Take a long walk, read a book, take a bubble bath. Maybe take yourself out to a nice dinner and movie. Ask someone else to be strong for you for a change. Do something that feeds your soul.
