Plenty of suspense, action, and gore in this third book in the Kalila Chronicles series. The humans who enter the realm of spiritual warfare have their work cut out for them. I’m amazed at the author’s ability to organize the maze of people, angels, demons, societies, and events within the book’s setting in a war of good versus evil. Teens Thea and Sam are faced with cataclysmic challenges as they learn to use their supernatural gifts and make difficult choices that will affect the physical and spiritual worlds. What should they do and who can they trust? To be honest, I’m not entirely comfortable with the demon Victor being heroic, although he is an interesting character.
I wish I had read this book sooner after reading book #2, because it picks up immediately where that one leaves off.
